Another ZMR 4S build
« on: January 29, 2015, 08:19:59 PM »
I've had a spare 250 zmr frame lying around for a while, so thought I'd build it up for 4S use!

This one will have the ESC's fitted in the gap between the two lower plates, so spacers will be needed! Think the 4 X M3 bolts per arm is complete overkill so reduced mountings to 3 X M3.

Anyone who have built the zmr 250 will know that the the front-arm to rear-arm distance is quite short which makes it hard to fit the ESC's in lengthways, so designed some spacers to enable everything to fit

The original fpv camera plate needs stand-off mountings to mount the board cam.

I have made them from plastic knitting needles before, drilled and tapped them M2, but is fiddly and 8 screws are needed, 4 per end. So printed a cam plate with built in stand-off's

BTW all the mods on this frame will be green, to easily identify them!!!

If I break any arms I'll try printing some! I'll probably give away my 3S mini quad and Hexes, just keep the two zmr 250 4S and upgrade the spanky to 4S

I've got 8 DYS motors in transit, 4 black 4 gold, the ones I have here seem to work fine on 4S, the 12A ESC's look different from the previous wrappers but probably the same old RCX 12a inside!

I'm interested in 6" - do they fit with standard arms?

So are you guys using the standard 3s stuff but running it on 4s?

I want a 4s 250 but couldn't find any motors and ESCs rated for 4s.

I have DYS motors and Emax 12a ESCs.
