downloaded the H Quad build video from flite test last night (internet is too slow here to stream) will watch it tonight, but looks really easy. much easier than the old X quads I used to build.

Think I might get one of these to use on the grasshopper as Im going to be teaching my lads to fly it, I think it will make things easier for them. I wonder when Hobby King UK will have them ?

Yeah, I havent been able to find a thread where someone used one of these FCs for a fixed wing yet. Would be interesting to see how good the stabilisation would be. real simple too. When armed, the gyros will combat any unwanted movement from external forces, flick a switch and it auto-levels. the designer kaptainkuk has confirmed that it will auto-level a fixed wing ac.

Yes Steve, it has a low voltage alarm built in too. it plugs into the piezo output pins labelled in the top right of this picture:

Ah thanks. Hoping to start rebuilding my quad tonight using it. Read yesterday that firmware on it was tested with simonk flashed escs so settings need tweaking for standard escs.

Hi, have just built my KK2 " Spider "quad and all motors are running ,all controls going the correct way but can't get it to settle down even though I'v reduced all the gains and tried it on low rates on my DX6i?
Have had it off the deck but only for a second !
I have my S/L on the gear switch and when I try that it is even worse!
Running out of ideas, and suggestions welcome.
Cheers MIKE

Mike, have you seen all the various documents that are on the files section of the HK KK2 board site? Especially the one I mentioned above about the boards being tested on flashed speed controllers, which radically alter the suggested settings on the board itself. I've also seen a video of a guy setting up a tricopter who says his figures are no-where near stock.
I haven't built mine yet (was hoping to do it last night but ended up playing with my new OSD instead) so can't offer any first hand experience yet.
Will be interested if you figure it out, be great to share our findings on here.

I got mine hooked up to my quadlet last night, only had a quick play with it (it was getting late) and didn't feel comfortable. One motor seemed to be spinning up much more than the others (note I had props off).
When I went to bed I re-read the manual, and I think I know where my problem possibly stems from. I sort of skipped one of the setup steps, which says ensure that by using trim/subtrim, all the centre values displayed on the LCD are zero. I'm pretty sure when I was messing around they weren't all exactly zero, which I guess could explain the motor spooling higher than the others, trying to make an input that isn't there, and as it was sat on the floor, it just gets worse as it tries to compensate.
What exactly is the symptoms on yours? I'll be playing with my settings a lot more tonight whilst the wife watches a load of shellsuit wearing people walk around a large circle. Something going on in the UK apparently.

Glad to hear you are starting to sort yours out Balders , mine fires up ok but when I get it to take off revs it is too aggresive and tries to either flip forward or flip sideways! it is obeying the transmiter as far as inputs are concerned but way to fast for me even with realy low rates.
I dont know exactly what the difference is from "P" and "I" as the destuctions don't say, If you set the "P" rates too low there don't seem to be any corection , too high and it goese wild !
See what you think mate I'm off to wach C.S.I as I need a break from the darned thing now! been at it for hours>
Cheers M8, MIKE.

OK mate, as I start to tinker and understand mine more I'll post my findings. From what I can gather I think P is a sort of pitch correction, so if you tilt it forward for forward flight, it neither gains nor loses altitude so you don't have to correct pitch on the throttle. Think of it as the balance between front and rear props. It rears just sped up and front remained the same, it'd gain altitude and vice versa.
