looks like the laminate idea is out the window then
gonna use 1 pack alone for altitude, save weight stay close (but high) that way I can always glide down
will use the 2 packs in parallel for long distance, just need the darn thing to arrive now though... gettin twitchy

If you want to thermal I'd say 1 pack and you should be able to stay up for a few hours within say 1000 yard radius of where you are. Height wise your limited by the ablility to ride the thermal.
find a good corn field to fly over and you'll be laughing in the summer just make sure you do not land in the middle of it

Look at the state of this!
The lipo was inside the fuse (pre glued btw, gutted)
And the servos are cheap crap, but I was expecting that. The only thing is though, they've pre installed the tail servos and they're awful. How am I supposed to get them out and re-run the servo wires down the tail? Grrrrr

Should have got it from BEVRC.....
Contact the seller, and start a paypal claim immediately. Dont let them fob you off with the usual 'if you stop the claim we'll fix this rubbish' If you can show these pics to paypal odds are you will be able to get money back without having to follow the usual chinese method of sending it back at a postage cost more than the item is worth. As long as the plane is ok and you get a reasonable result from paypal Id say all it not lost. What did they use to install the tail servos? Odds are you can get them out with a minimum of fuss..... Hang on have they glued the fuselage together??? if they have then your up shit street

Didn't pay with PayPal, was on the credit card so can claim through them if needs be.
I'm gonna email them now and request a partial refund to cover the cost of a new lipo and bullet connectors. One of the bullets came off as I unplugged the ESC. Which will also need replacing as I simply don't trust anything other than turnigy or hobbywing
On the bright side, they must have used baby snot to glue this thing together, servos came out no problem and I was able to pry the tail end of the fuse apart using a butter knife, not gonna be a problem to install my own gear. Panic over lol

I checked your original post and followed the link to where you bought the plane, it is not reciever ready. you are protected with your credit card, and its not that hard to make a claim. I'd claim just because of the state of what they sent you. It is good news you have got the fuse apart though

yes mate, the lipo was in the bubble wrap, in the small white (well not any more lol) box, which was inside the Skywalker fuse.
looks like it popped while it was in storage waiting to be shipped, the burns don't look fresh. I'm no CSI but looks like I got a bad'n here.
got the whole fuse apart really easy, will start the build tomorrow, I've got a laptop to rebuild tonight
