Just spent an hour removing the FY31AP, re-mounting the GoPro base mount to the foam canopy (using 4 x m3 bolts), and re-locating the VTX out to the wing.

Just charging the GS lipo now then gonna take advantage of the lovely weather... FPV style. I don't have a recorder, but gopro footage will be available.

Well that was a bag of boll*cks, my skywalker is a pig. Damn useless piece of crap. Rolling to the right is definitely not caused by the FY gear, must be a warped airframe. Also, elevator bust and gave me no up authority, the horn has gone right through the elevator itself.

The tail design of the skywalker is pants. The last straw was when it launch failed for the third time and the foam canopy snapped off the fuse. There's now no way to mount it back without tonnes of glue

Stripping it tomorrow and putting all the gear in a box ready for the vega in November

That sucks mate, seems your walker has been problematic since it got delivered half assembled with a knackered lipo. It's a shame though as it's a nice airframe.  Better luck on the Vega :D

That's a bummer Chris
As you know I went through a period where everything I launched broke, I'd repair and repeat so I know how you feel mate
Hang in there

yes CS, I've been here before also. Just like you.

My wife says she's a jinx, every time I go up to the field alone, I get good footage and successful flights, every time she comes with me I launch-fail and ruin my planes. Good thing I dont believe in crap like jinxes or bad/good luck.

I'm at a stage now where I have no choice but to leave FPV for 4 months, with todays experience I'm very tempted to sell everything of value and start a fresh in November.

Things I'll keep:

Vega, Turnigy 9x, openLRS gear

Things I feel like selling:

Fatsharks, FY31AP, HornetOSD, 2.4ghz TX/RX, 2.4ghz 8dbi patch. over £700 worth of stuff right there.

Honestly I feel like buying a bixler again and keeping everything simple. my best flights came from the bixler and only when I started getting delusions of grandeur is when sh*t got sh*t for me.

just chucked it in the garage, probably broke some more stuff doing that, its in the "graveyard" box along with my Jetiger, FPVRaptor and Swift II. could probably make a mean frankenplane with all that stuff.

I'm FPV'd out for a while, so... hey ho :(

Is that called premature ejectulation ?
