Just ordered one of these as they are getting some really good reviews and are supposed to be easier to get working right and better results than the Alexmos 32b BGC
http://www.olliw.eu/2013/storm32bgc/
Cheap too!

Haven't been overly impressed with any of the ones I've come across so far!
Setup has been finicky and the motors have been very low torque, making the gimbal balancing needed, super precise! Even just a lead out of place is enough to upset them...
Certainly wouldn't pay a lot for a gimbal!

Ben what is the problem? what errors are you seeing?
Just flashed mine ok!
How I did it:
Follow directions on this page:
http://www.olliw.eu/storm32bgc-wiki/How_to_flash_firmware
On this page:
http://www.olliw.eu/storm32bgc-wiki/Downloads
Click download link on this line:
Quote
Direct link to v0.56 firmware download: o323bgc-release-v056-v20141128 [.zip] (6.6MB)
Unzip onto the desktop (or anywhere convenient)
The o323BGCTool_v056 in the folder is the config/flashing tool!
I'm using windows7

I've got various usb programming tools here! any usb to TTL converter will do, either a 3v3 or 5v, either will work, I used this one I but I have a few different types!

I have the v1.31 board which I couldn't find listed anywhere (you probably have the same), so here is the connections I used:
Follow the wire colours, notice the red and yellow wire is swapped one end, this is just to suit my programmer, yours might well be different.
Do not connect + rail, only GND TX RX
The connection on the pcb are GND, 0, 1 which are the second row of pins in from the edge

well THANKYOU for a little encouragement and I gave it another go, it would seem I had the ground on the brown (pin2) when it should have been on the black (pin1)
just flashed it after checking the datasheet for my cable http://www.ftdichip.com/Products/Cables/USBTTLSerial.htm
