Little Spanky repair
« on: January 29, 2015, 06:03:10 PM »
Ripped two anti-vib mounts off the Spanky, it cartwheeled when I landed it a bit awkward!  No other damage!

But mine are 8 X 8mm and the Spanky ones are 10 X 10mm, my smaller mountings are probably an ok replacement, at least worth trying!

Biggest issue with the shorter length of 8mm means there is less space between the plates where the ESC's are housed!  So printed up some 2mm spacers to increase the length back to 10mm. Seen here in Green...

This thread reads funny! LOL

"I broke some mounts"....
"I have some mounts"...
"But mine are small"......
"The problem with smaller is...",,,

Don't let the schizophrenia hold you down BM!

Sorry I had too :P

The problem with the original spanky rubbers is they dont glue well at all, the orange QAV ones are great with CA and probably better than the original bond once repaired with CA glue, Im running QAV rubbers on one of my spankys and original ones on the other.
