ThunderTiger Neptune SB1 Unboxing and Bath Test

Another bit of kit for the FPV arsenal, the Neptune SB1 ...
www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lVL-pbLksk&feature=youtu.be
Ill be adding some FPV gear to this and the GoPro and Mobius for external views for river/pond/lake sorties ... into the unknown
Will also be adding some lighting equipment, have 2 spare channels so some options there, still considering some kind of Grabber arm using a secondary controller.
Land, Sea or Air - we got it covered

What does RTR mean?
Thought RTD would be better, like Ready To Dive!
Nice one cobs! I thought about a similar setup myself, although mine was going to be an underwater 4 wheel or track vehicle, with arm to retrieve sunk rc sailboats in a certain lake I know, cable umbilical to the shore, never did get around to it, the acidic nature of the lake bed would have probably destroyed any salvage value ina few weeks submersion

Wow £500 is expensive Tecnic, seen them new for £377, even cheaper on Ebay though, i bought a used one
That vid is probs the best ive seen from a Neptune.
ReadyToRun it means BM, you should still do that with the vehicle, i dont think the water will rot everything, i used to snorkel a lot in rivers and lakes, had some nice finds too
These are good for around 25-30 feet Dave, says in the manual max depth 10Mtrs, thats assuming its getting a signal ok, if not it will go into failsafe and surface, has 3 failsafes, TX fail/Low Battery/Water Sensors, how deep you reckon the Disco is?

Not sure it's about 10 meters out. Not sure how deep windermere gets that close to the shore. Went over the spot in a boat and couldn't see the bottom

Dont think it would be too deep 10mtrs out maybe just dirty water?
If the Neptune performs well we can sort something out Dave, is it your Disco?

Ill get some tests in, went to river this afternoon but still flooding so ill have to wait a day or so then try again, once ive FPV'd it and its lookin good well go look for it if you want, would be a cool mission, not sure on retrieval - maybe a rod and hook attached or something quick? We can get some flying in while were there

Mission is a GO
Where did you get a boat from to look for it? Seen a vid of a plane crash into water and the guy stripped off and then found a fishing rod, dont know many peeps that carry boats tho lol

Stated in a boat house and underneath there was a half inflated dingy with one oar, half filed with water. Had a hole in the back for a motor So couldn't empty it. Was thinking about divino in but it was snowing and when my toe touched the water I nearly had a heart attack. Fishing rod with a weight on might of got it but didn't have one
