3 dimensional so both
Ok a little more progress tonight, the APM is in its case and glued on a foam block about 30mm high (to allow access to the USB port), the gps/compass is on another foam block further forward about 45mm high. A wire harness has been made up for between VTX/OSD/Cam and its all tested working
Waiting on replacement motor and new lipo, also need to fit some magnets to the canopy and set up some rates/expo in the tx.

Can gps not be decased and but out as far down receiver wing as possible can lam over it to protect it what bats are you using if your going with I ran 2x 2200 4s 1100kv on a 8x6 but a bigger prop makes them much Easyer to lunch, mine was always easy to launch till I treys to make it fast and went 1400kv with smaller prop

I would prolly put 3x 2200 3s in it for space flight and a 1000kv with a 9x5 should go in with 2 on in middle behind cam and one on top of them

Yes the gps can be de-cased and sunk into wing, will try it where it is first though, plenty of room inside and already got gps,vtx amd uhf rx on wing so will see how it goes with current layout.
I have ordered a NTM 1400kv motor (see earlier posts) which will spin a 8x6 prop and also it balances perfect with a 3s 4000mah in the nose. btw this is no longer the space project, if that kicks off again I will use a funjet ultra!

Any ideas on how to fix this? Never had this before

As a test, unplug the built in servos (or one of them) fit a spare servo to the now available output! Then test again, try twisting the servo lead on the spare one, see if it helps! try a 0.1 uf cap on servo lead, plug end, servo end, or both!
I don't like digital servos in these applications, try a standard analogue servo!
Can't be certain, but APM is fairly immune to outside interference, magnetometer doesn't like high currents nearby though, but I presume your doing these tests in stabilize mode, where the mag shouldn't have any influence!
I can do a test here if you want with a full apm and a LM 1.3 vTx.

what vtx is it ben ?
have you got a 1.2x filter lowpass filter anywhere ?
only close thing I had was on my qav pan and tilt on gimble , it would jitter when vtx on , I traced it to the control inputs on alex moss I put low pass filter on and solved it , so I would say its apm in your case
noise / harmonics from vtx ?
edit lol was posting while you were technic
