Well that sounds simple enough Though ill probably mess it up. Ill have to have a look around at DIY antennas.

Cheers mate!

Had a little crash today nothing too major I was scooting across the floor pretty fast and crashed into a bush, mobuis flew off nowhere to be seen :/ But I noticed my Minim osd info is kinda "bleeding" onto my screen but the rest of the picture is normal.. Anyone had this sort of problem after a crash?

Guessing its an osd problem as my live feed is still ok?

Just check over wiring, so mobius is still in the bushes?

Yeah everything looks fine . I can live with it to be honest just OSD characters are bleeding a bit. And yes unfortunately The mobius Is in thick bramble somewhere. I was only thinking yesterday about painting the case in some neon colour too.

Rescue mission was a failure! We left no stone unturned checked literally everywhere..seems The earth swallowed it up. Its gone for good. Tommo will have to get shopping again.

Between the low cloud and fog and some terrible electrical noise on my live feed my mini wasn't much of a help either. on top of that It fly s like a complete dog I think its twisted.. Time for a frame change!

Fit a lanyard to the mobious (it has two small slots to do that, and a bit of sellotape over the the memory slot, bright day-glow yellow is good too!

I'm sure these high intensity LED's are going to help with finding grounded quads, but a buzzer for daytime...

Also invest in a DVR! You probably would have picked up the quad sharpish after is went missing if you had the DVr footage to watch back for its final few seconds of flight!

^^^ you hear this man Tommo? Lol  I have one. And I been banging onto tom since he lost it how this might have saved the day. But Unfortunately he doesn't have one. And probably not everyone will have one on there very first flight. But its a kinda "must have" component for me.  Still cannot see where the damn thing went. I have to stop thinking about it cos it drives me wild .one min it was there next min G.O.N.E :0

maybe it landed further away, with a 800mw 1.2 vtx on there you're still gonna get a picture from quite a distance

Well today I flew my mini probably the furthest I been and I had to really fly it to get there!  Imagine you were standing on the edge of the goal keepers box at Wembley and your mini was hovering quite high but absolutely no further than the half way line. And then it looses RC signal and falls like a stone. It must be in the stadium at least then you would think right? We really did push out the boundary's today on foot. Also took binoculars and stood on the highest point and still no sign..I'm talking a good 2 hours of solid walking in open field  back and fourth with grass no taller than 10cm..
Astonishing!!!!

these minis can hide themselves in 4" grass just 10ft away and be out of site, you need to systematically walk up and down the field maybe moving 2 metres each time

I kid you not mate, and I know it seems like It cant be possible. But I don't think there has been a blade of grass there we haven't stood on. And so your thinking... Ok gav if you done that like you say then why haven't you found it yet?  Great question!

My only conclusion is that tom alerted the farmer to missing RC "helicopter" on his field . He jumped on his quad bike and went and found it quick snap and kept it? But this still doesn't add up..nothing is! But to go back there and search again where you have double, triple, quadrupole checked is a waste of everyone's time. There ain't a patch we haven't looked. Its Gone. I hate to admit that but its really gone
