Fair point but surely they cant do that?   I mean lets say for instance "peter" was selling an item on from his web shop for $120 and "paul" was selling the same item from his web shop for $20. I then obviously choose paul and save $100. Could they really go on google and find the highest priced seller and bill me like that? :0

I reckon if they suspect any mis-labeling then they will just open the package and  decide what charge to levy, they do this all day long I expect, Can't see them being in the least particular, if your unhappy then complain, but don't expect them to listen.

They can do anything they like! They normally charge vat if over £15 I think, and import duty + vat on over something like £114

Oh yes just remembered, if they open your parcel, they can even charge you for the trouble of opening it, regardless if the label was found to be genuine or not!  Work that one out!

I just noticed this small gps module for the naze32.

http://www.hobbyrc.co.uk/ublox-7-tiny-56-channel-gps-receiver-module-naze-32

Says its good for return to home amongst other things.
I would be combining it with the full naze32 and MWOSD.

Would this display gps coordinates on my osd maybe a return to home arrow? I haven't had much of a play with the MWOSD so I cant remember what it does and what it doesn't display In regards to locating a downed quad or navigating your way home. Sure it has a compass Other than that I'm not sure..

Anyone shed any light on this?

That's pukka!

This will require the Gps module like the one I linked?
Any Idea how much work involved in getting that to display arrow and distance Or would be near plug n play?

Yes you need GPS for speed/distance/direction home. Shouldnt be too hard, if GPS is wired right and everything is enabled in settings then it should just work, speed doesnt seem to be working too well in that vid though!

I think the 1.2ghz fox 800mw is pure Overkill on my mini it sucks a fair bit of power and its a tad heavy. How would a little 200mw 1.2ghz perform.

  http://www.tecnic.co.uk/200mw-1.2GHz-4ch-FPV-Video-Transmitter.html

Do you think it would be good for proximity flying? Would the penetration be just as good through tress ect? Do you think I would be good for a 1km radius at max?

200mW at 1.2g with dipoles should give 6km with a 6db fade margin, which is half the range of 800mW. Of course actual distance will vary with weather, terrain etc but these should be attainable under most conditions with a reasonable picture.

Ahh that don't sound bad then mate. I have no intentions Of any further than 1km. Would run out of battery before anything else... . Might shed a few grams and save a touch on battery too. I think ill give It a go!

Actually antennas Is a point of interest for me also. Can you recommend somewhere for good 1.2ghz antennas at all? Its an item that's likely to get damaged In crashes I wouldn't mind having a few in the box. Also wouldn't mind a good one for my next twinny build for range..

Cheers BM

Can easily make them yourself!

433 mHz. My choice is appx 1mm wire (pvc covered) 155mm each leg, keep the space between each leg short as possible. (calculated using 4nec2)

On the twinstar fit the dipole in the rear fin, so that the fin itself supports the dipole, little bit harder on multi's You could use a stiff upper element and let the lower one dangle free (so long as it can't get caught in the props...

Wasn't we talking about Vtx antennas? :P

Great Info though It would have been my next question. 433mhz antennas!
