If you want to buy a charger and never need to upgrade then get yourself an iCharger 3010b it's a 1000watt charger capable of charging upto 10s I power mine off of 2 server power supplies in series (one has to be modified to stop a ground loop occuring) I have setup for parallel and series charging depending on my requirments but have had it charging 6 packs at once in parallel using the full 1000watts and it worked like a charm. Have got the temperature sensor for mine so I can attach it to the packs with an elastic band so the charger stops if it detects a problem with the temp, the charger can also check the internal resistance of packs which can be an early indicator of a cell thats failing

There is the £40 or so 100w one I have from Giantcod. Not that powerful, being 100w, but it has a built in power supply which is so much more convenient.
Built in power supply all the way, all the commercial power supplies are big and heavy so it's one less thing to carry and it makes the whole thing a LOT smaller.

I have 2 x 50w imax chargers (they were only about £15) and more recently bought a Turnigy from hobbyking 150W which I use for my 6S 5000mah packs (although I used to use the two 50W at low amps...took a while!) All three run off a server PSU in a briefcase so it's portable and I can charge 3 packs at a time without having to do any parallel charging etc.

I'm amazed you guys are using such low power chargers... If want to charge six 3s 2200mah packs I can do all of them at once charging at 2c and have them all charged and balanced in about 40 minutes! And that's 4.4amps per pack in parallel so times that by 6 and you have 26.4Amps which is around 330watts let's not even get started on charging multiple 4s or 6s packs. I have a second charger that can put up to 4A max into a 4s pack but it seldom gets used. Do you all get up at the crack of dawn to set everything charging or stay up all night before flying to charge up?

Just have enough packs to do a session flying, then charge up when I get home. Never really been an issue for me.
