Just ordered one of the GETFPV.com versions, was wondering if anyone else was flying them? Gonna stick it on my QAV400

No, I have a CC board on my smashed up tricopter, that flew very smooth, stopped bothering with Open Pilot stuff as it was too much hassle to get hold of the boards

I loved the CC board, best "simple" controller in my opinion
I'm out of the multirotor world for good now though

Not quite yet, but I have an OpenPilot supplied CC3D board & QAV500 v1.1 frame, etc, unassembled due to a combination of supplier delay, serious illness, plus a lack of time to complete these last few months. However, I hope to be getting on with the project shortly, currently waiting on a CC3D case from Shapeways http://www.shapeways.com/search?q=CC3D and a new set of 30A ESC's from RCTimer with the latest SimonK (2012-12-14) http://www.rctimer.com/index.php?gOo=goods_details.dwt&goodsid=779&productname=
getFPV packaging, QA and attention to detail (where it matters) have been lacking in my orders. While the bowed frame and the vice grip blemish were not structurally important, I was rattled to RX a box that rattled, the contents loose and flimsily packaged. Me thinks getFPV need to spend less money on broadcasting the contents on the outside of the box and more on protecting the contents inside it! I was subsequently unhappy to RX a damaged box of loosely packaged suspect motors, so I returned them, but getFPV failed to notify me of a move from NY to FL that would take place while they were in transit. Things went from bad to worse when USPS failed to forward. Eventually though, they bounced back to the UK for resending to FL. In all, a delay of over 2 months from order to refund, with my losing out to the tune of double P&P with track & trace. I also feel cheated to have been left holding the v1.1 frame as the v1.2 frame was released while these problems were on-going. So, I'm left wary about buying from them.
I note the bold policy detailed on their CC3D page http://www.getfpv.com/flight-controllers/openpilot-cc3d-flight-controller.html which says refunds are too much of an administrative headache for US customers who pay for shipping in error. It seems to me that the rigour of checking what is sent before it's sent and making sure that it's properly packaged for the rigours of international transit are simply another headache getFPV wishes to avoid. All symptomatic of a rapid expansion, me thinks. Also, fixable. Happy to order again, once I read evidence of improvement, a policy of refunding international returns would likely drive a desire to avoid them.

Sounds like bad luck with the circumstances on your return, I cant exactly remember how my QAV was packaged but it certainly wasn't all loose and everything was in perfect condition. Looks like the CC3d is out of stock now too, so I ordered just in time.

Bad experience all round. It became apparent that it was an end of line v1.1 frame and the last motors in stock at the time. I wan't impressed at the time.
I wish getFPV every success with their branded CC3D and I really hope yours arrives properly packaged and in good working order. Hopefully, they'll do the same with the Revolution board and by that time I'll have heard enough good things on here to convince me to try them again..

Just stumbled across a cheaper French supplier of the alternate CC3D http://www.drotek.fr/shop/en/149-fc-coptercontrol-cc3dopenpilot.html

Well it took 9 days to get here, that was using the cheapest delivery option. All hooked up but I have to wait for a replacement prop before I can test it.

So, OpenPilot GCS updated firmware to 12.10.2 on the GetFPV variant of the CC3D, no issues?
I configured mine last night, but I want it in a case before it flies. Case won't ship until the 8th, which is just as well as I sliced my finger open with a carving knife a couple of hours ago and in the process found a new use for turnigy battery strap, as tourniquet!!

Mac version of OpenPilot GCS didn't recognise the hardware on my OpenPilot supplied CC3D, multiple connects and disconnects and reboots and wouldn't update in first few attempts.

Nope. Apple > System Preferences > Network launched bluetooth CopterControl on initial plugin. Deleted. Initially no USB connect, but all OK now.
