Flight test tried that too, if i remember right their conclusion was that a rudder doesnt have much effect unless it is behind the thrust.

maybe thats why the alulah flies straight then as it has the prop at front and a vertical stab hanging out the back in the prop wash

Also the prop is far forward of the wing. It's pulling it as opposed to pushing it.
Same idea as putting a pencil on a table. Push the pencil from behind and it won't go straight-it'll flop around in circles. Pull it from the front and it'll follow perfectly straight. That is obvious of course, but it would explain why adverse yaw during straight and level flight is almost exclusive to pusher flying wings.

The Alulah also has a fuselage of sorts with its stabilisation fin back past the wing so it has more leverage if you like.
I'm gonna pickup some coroplast and cut some winglet extensions and attach them temporarily. maybe 15-20cm more?

Bugger. My zeph likes to tip stall. I was trying to slow it down pointing into the wind when it just stalled into a spin. My recovery attempt ended with it nosing into the ground.
Not much damage. Broke a horn and the nose is a little wrinkled. Cosmetic mostly.
Only worrisome bit is there is a crack in the foam. in an identical place where my slipstream cracked. shouldn't be too bad though I'll probably just use some CA.

On my wing build, I think the motor I am planning to use won't quite be powerful enough... So...
I have the option of putting a 600W motor in there (E-Flite Power 25, needs about a 13" prop though!) or 2x smaller, 2217 motors with 9" props each. That would give loads of power and I could set it up with a gyro so the motor speed is adjusted to counteract adverse yaw. Ideas? I would use the E-Sky gyros so it would probably be worthwhile getting a couple extra to try on the pitch and roll axis...

I suspect the wind had a big part to play in it, I may well have been flying below stall speed and it was too much for one wing or whatever and it just pitched over.
