Wow thats some range there on 5.8!  I have maxed at 900m so far (with that being about 400m high.)

Must get my VSWR built and test the antennas!

Evening all, dont know how this will turn out as I'm attaching pics via tapatalk. Worst way I'll edit it in the morning after work. Below is my modified tgy-9x radio. I have Open LRS with the 7watt booster in a custom case. I'm not running at 7watts but about 0.8watts in low power and circa 2watts in high power mode I have a switch beside the antenna to select the power. I mounted it on a radio stand that's fitted upside down which seemed the easiest option. Around the back the power lead for the booster is a 3.5mm mono jack. The red button and multipin socket are for my head tracker
