LOS : Spy Hawk onboard camera flight on a nice calm day.
« on: June 14, 2012, 06:16:29 PM »
HI all,

Had a great flight with the Spy Hawk FPV electric glider, the plane flies really well in light wind and I was able to get it rather high for a amazing view from above.

Im sure I got a thermal as the plane went high and would not come down until I put it in a dive.

I really like this little plane.

Slowly having fun with my proper fpv gear and goggles but this is less stressful for now,

happy flying

How are you finding the stabilization?  Heard reports of it being over bearing.

it takes a while to get used to the stabilaztion system but as long as you are not trying to do hard turns it flies really well and I have really started to enjoy it. it certainy helps for taking nice gentle videos.

I have increased the elevator size which has helped a lot and may also do the same to the rudder but at the moment it goes where i want it so im happy.

Pete

my friends have also now flown it and really like it, they may even buy one.

I saw on Alishanmao YouTube channel that it's possible to turn stability off remotely although not sure if this is only on the newer models. Says it becomes quite hard to fly with stability off. Might be worth a look.
