Nice Ben, they are a great piece of kit. One of my friends flys one of these and he loves it. I like the way the wing looks backwards. I look forward to your videos.

First job is to cut the wing roots along the line and sand so they fit together snug. As you can see from photo 3 the wings are totally glassed. Photo 4 shows the whole kit.

Next job cut the elevons out (wasnt too keen on this step but it turned out ok) I cut the angle into the wing, then retrimmed and sanded down the aileron to give me the angle to allow the elevon to hinge. Now to strengthen the wing tips we need to cut out and glue on the fibre glass sheets that are supplied in the kit. If you look close enough here you can see the fibreglass sheet glued on with uhu por. Then glue the wing roots together with 5 min epoxy and use 24hr epoxy with the fibre cloth over the centre join, this wraps round underneath too.

Electrical component installation on wing :
First mark out servo's, 60mm from centre, I angled them parallel with the trailing edge of the wing. Slice through the fuse to the depth of the servo around the line. Pick out the foam from between the lines until you reach a desired depth. I did the same for the other servo then wrapped them in electrical tape, they are ready to be glued in once I have checked centre. Its the same process for the VTX Bay.

Preparing to glue the fuselage onto the wing (with 24hr epoxy system mixed with micro ballons). 1mm thick fibreglass sheet strengthener glued to nose (required on powerful setups) Nice paint finish on the fuselage

Working on the fuselage and canopy:
Had to cut put ply with jigsaw and sand to the shape of fuselage. Then glue using the fuselage as the template. The fuselage has had 2 lots of fills and a primer, just a little more sanding to get it perfect. The frame for the canopy shaped to the fuse. It fits nicely inside plastic canopy window. Just a bit of finishing and shaping fuse where it mounts to wing and then its ready for top coat white paint. Fuse now trimmed to suit wing, motor mount and colling holes added to front and rear of fuse. I have done some more filling/sanding/priming and now I am happy its ready for final coat. Scorpion Motor 710kv, its a pretty hot motor so I'm going to reinforce the inside of the mounting area with some ply.
