TX switch programming
« on: April 25, 2012, 04:51:09 PM »
Anyone know how to program a 2 position switch so position 1 is at -90 and position 2 is at +90

I have a turnigy 9x running ER9X firmware, but I'm sure the basics are the same for all transmitters.

cheers

ok here goes.....

goto your mixes page create a mix on the channel you want
Source MAX
Weight -90
Offset 0
FlModetrim OFF
Trim ON
Curves !x!
Switch ID0        (You choose the switch you want, I have my switching on a 3pos switch)
WArning OFF
Mulpx  Add
Delay Down  0
Delay Up  0
Slow up  0
slow down  0

if its for flaps you can mess with the slow up and down, to get a nice smooth transistion.

Now to do +90 all you have to do is copy that mix, so you have 2 mixes on the same channel and then edit the -90 to +90 and change the switch from example ID0 to ID1

If that doesnt make sense I will make a short video

i love friendly forums like this. in other places you'd be told to google it and be on your way.

Papa, you've just done in a few moments what was taking me all day scouring the internet.

Works a treat, It's for my Hornet OSD screen mode switch. currently it's on a pot but is quite annoying. to change the screen you put the switch down(or turn the knob all the way to the left) then put the switch up (or turn the knob all the way to the right). repeating this action toggles through the 5 screen modes (so no need for a 5 pos switch thank god lol)

simply flicking the switch up and down is so much easier/quicker than turning the knob

Cheers Papa L

No problem glad I could help,  it took me long enough to find out how to program my 3-pos switch so I could control my OSD lol.  I just fitted a rotary switch where P3 was ( the pot on the left). I can use it on my new quad to select 5 different flight modes.  I had my skywalker flaps on 2 switches giving me 4 different flap configurations but when I get the time I will setup my flaps on the rotary switch.  I bought mine with resistors of the correct value soldered already so each position would have the correct values for each flight mode. Unfortunately they where a little off so u made a custom curve to tweak them back I will make a 7 point curve for the flap switching so the servo actually moves the desired amount.

The er-9x is so very powerful I find the limit is your imagination first and then intelligence to implement it second lol

Here's how I've got my 9x setup for the Skywalker:

Ch 1,2,3,4 - sticks - control surfaces and throttle (duh lol)
Ch 5 - 3 position switch - FY31AP flight mode select (off, stabilised, follow waypoints)
Ch 6 - pot knob - FY31AP Autopilot mode select (auto-circle, off, RTH)
Ch 7 - 2 position switch - FY HornetOSD screen select (flick down then up to switch to next screen, repeat to toggle through 5 modes)
Ch 8 - pot knob (will be assigned to head tracker eventually) - Flight Camera pan servo

When I've chosen my favourite OSD Screen, I can use that channel for flaps on a pot knob, but currently I've not cut the flaps on the wings.
