nice, I'll be interested to see how you get on with laminating the underside, there is a hollow bit nose to tail both side of the main belly on the underside

I used 3m77 and I had no problems getting 125micron (5mil) laminate to stick and contour, and the ritewing normally comes with 3mil laminate so it should be even easier.

got the glue from here http://www.cohaku.com/item/tesa-extra-strong-500ml-spray-glue

yes I made the walls to the battery bay out of some 1.6mm glass sheet, I have some sides too but I got to run a wire in the side for the cam before I glue them in.

Looking real neat Ben, I don't think I would have the patience to do a wing. I cant wait to see it laminated

cheers Chris

a bit windy today so been wiring the wing up. Still waiting for RVOSD to land so I can work out what cables I need to run from the uhf rx but I have done the others.

I have run 2 servo wires (6 individual wires) from the VTX to the centre bay, I will probably only need 3 wires as the camera will be powered from the OSD not the VTX but at least I have spares should I need to run audio later on. For now though Im using the VTX's onboard mic and the telemetry for tracking is overlayed onto the video signal on RVOSD.

Next is the flight camera wire to run from the nose to the back bay, I run it alongside the battery bay then I can finish off fibreglass plates on both side of battery compartment.

I'm also going for a one piece lid so I trim off the raised piece between the 2 bays.

Battery bay easily fits in 2 x '4s 3300 nanotechs'

Next I centre servos and change arms, also solder XT60 to 80amp Turnigy ESC

The top of the wing is very clean as all wires underneath, only the esc will be outside to one side of the rear compartment.

Glad to report I made some more progress today, managed to squeeze the RVOSD and the anti vibe bracket in the rear compartment after making it about 20mm deeper, also cut out nose and lined the cut with fibreglass sheet, this space will accomadate the gopro (cased) and the flight camera. I shall post some pictures tomorrow! Need to order UHF RX and motor that's all I'm lacking from the build.
