Although the manufacturers recommend placing gyro stabilisations systems at or near to the CG, there's no difference in the performance of the stabilisation. There's a guy on youtube [experimentalairlines] who did a video demonstration to show the "science" of it. theoretically you could put the AP far out on the wing, as long as it's flat and pointing in the right direction. :)

If you get the waggling problem, maybe consider adding wing fences. I think it might do a great deal of good to straighten out the airflow over the wing as there are no vertical surfaces apart from at the tips.

i got mine from http://desirerc.co.uk/

those figures are in mm so 9ft x 2ft roughly all in one long piece, is that how yours came? mine is all same thickness too, with the zep1 I got some thicker stuff for the belly.

Ok so now all the spars are in, the spar slots have been filled sanded, filled sanded, filled sanded and the whole wing has had a good sand too, raised logos gone too, I want the laminate to be flat!

I have melted a whole through from the servo through to the rear compartment which is where RVOSD will be positioned. RVOSD ordered waiting on delivery!

I have cut in the hole for the VTX on the top of the wing but in the interest of keeping the look as clean as possible I am thinking about running the wires on the underside of the wing in a channel, then some white tape over them before its lam'd. I have already laminated the red elevons.

Really waiting for the OSD before I can progress too much, I need to order some 1m servo wire from giantcod to run to vtx from back compartment and also PPM/RSSI cables from UHF on opposite wing to OSD.

nice, I'll be interested to see how you get on with laminating the underside, there is a hollow bit nose to tail both side of the main belly on the underside
I simply couldnt getthe lam to stick there, seems like a bit of a design "feature" to me

imo this is a right pain in the backside

Well this is the recommended spray glue so just ordered a tin, also some servo wires and ubec on order from giant cod. I'll sink the necessary wires in then lam it.
