Don't like the quote "switching speed is quite fast"!
My cat is quite fast when it sees a rat!

I'm guessing but the turnigy/hk range of esc's are budget built and the majority are probably not particularly fast at all! The turnigy multirotor ecs range for example are diabolically slow, bought 8 and threw them away! Too ashamed to re sell them, their so bad!
If you are chasing these new fast features then you need fast ESC hardware! Think the best approach is to get makes that's known to work! I have 4 plush 18a esc's already here which I will flash and see what happens but nothing much is lost if they give up the ghost, or die after programming!

well that makes sense, bu the afro are pretty expensive and they still only said quite fast, the rctimer are cheap and they said they were fast. f series are tried and tested, always used them till i went to blueseries for this mini

judging them by price/speed doesn't really work, some of the cheaper ones perform better than some of the more expensive!
On larger quads I've always used DYS 30A ESC's they flash well, have never let me down and are quite cheap, especially if bought direct from china! They don't have external xtal's so are prone to drift a bit with temp, but external xtal's doesn't automatically mean they will be expensive!

thought they would be, guess then didn't use the title f-20 as hobbyking dont list it as a f-20 just a hobbyking 20a esc. they do the damped light anyway and i wont worry about sticking a 6 inch prop with them on, just got to wait another week, maybe 2 if i'm unlucky, which we all know i'm not
