So on one quad I have Sunsky 2300kv motors, on the other I have Hovership 2300kv motors...  On the data sheets, the sunsky motors draw 20.26A at full throttle with 6x4.5 props, while the hovership motors draw around 10A aat full throttle with 6x3(closest comparison I could get.) Sunsky claims the thrust is 710g at 6x4.5 full thr, and hovership reports the thrust to be 590g..why are there these differences? I believe the Hoverships are much better as the have nearly double the g/W, and now wish I had just bought a second set of them.
Also, how exactly does an X8 work, and would having an x8 be worth it compared to a regular x4? I am flying miniquads with relatively small payloads (total weight between 500&600g) and havent flown a TON, so motor failure is not something I need to worry about anytime soon I think..However I am flying more for quality video than acrobatics, so does it add a better degree of stability?
Also, for a miniquad running 12A-16A escs w/ 6x4.5 props that weighs around 500g are 2300kv or 1960kv motors better?

The bigoer props get you should be dropping kv to match. So I would say 1980 would be a better choice. I don't know why there is so much difference between those 2 motors.

X8 work like a quad except they have motors on top and bottom of the arm. I've never had one so can't comment further. I think it's complete overkill on a mini though and wouldn't think it would be needed unless it was a heavy lift quad. The props are less efficient in x8 configuration as you have 2 props cutting through the same air

X8 is the least efficient, but does offer more lifting power for it's size, so may be ok if you want to carry a larger camera, if you crash you can break up to 8 props at a time, not good if you go in for expensive props! Breaking 4 on a large quad is bad enough!

Not really any other differences...
