Yeah Dave my hubsan did carry the TX5805 but it struggled, I was always at 4/5 ths throttle and therefore very little room for maneuver..

I think some of the hubsans have different motors the Fpv version has 8.5mm motors, so maybe the non Fpv has 7mm ? But the ladybird has 7mm motors so not sure. Seems to be plenty of people fpving the hubsan though.

Could be the batteries, I  would have thought they would have ssimilar power. If you take the tx5805 off the ladybird it has loads , hovers at bout 35% throttle.

This looks good and is even smaller than ladybird.

Gav I printed it out in PLA yesterday but destroyed it trying to get the support parts off, they do recommend ABS on the link so Im just firing up the printer and feeding some ABS in. With ABS the support structures are a lot easier to remove! So will try again!

Gav, Can you drop us a link of the Batteries you are using,. I bought a pack of 5 cheap ones from ebay and wondering if they can supply the current for all four motors and the TX5805 as I occasionally get a complete black video under high load.

So did anyone try the 3D printed frames, or stick with the originals?
