Custom Installation build
« on: January 11, 2015, 01:30:43 AM »
Hey FPVers!!

I am looking for some insite and help on building a custom installation. pretty simple

4 cameras,4 angles that are all saved onto the same capture device? im looking to have them all save to a single SD card as 4 different files if possible.  does anyone know of a recorder that can handle 4 cameras?

I don't think such a thing exists in miniature! You would either need something to pre- process the 4 videos on-board and then send through a single vTx, or send 4 videos through 4 vTx's, you would probably encounter all sorts of crosstalk and patterning using 4 vTx's in close proximity!

Much easier to do what you want back on the ground but again not all on the same memory card, don't think the writing speed is anywhere near fast enough!

Think your easiest solution would be to use 4 cams with built in memory cards, such as the gopro or mobious.

Ya... not only would it be very hard+ heavy to have a system that transfers all four videos to the same place, but most SD cannot save that much data per second. You would need a very large very fast class 10+ sd card that can transfer probably 100+ mb/s.
