Testing Skyzone 3D Goggles
« on: January 09, 2015, 02:24:14 AM »
3D!!! Skyzone has just released its new Skyzone 3D FPV Goggles. They will be available in February.

Here's the video for a brief introduction of these amazing Skyzone 3D Goggles. I don't know how to add the video to this post, so just put a youtube link here.

Not got time to watch the video at the minute. Did you like them. Do the come with a 3d fpv camera and a 3d vtx if that's needed

Yes, they do come with 3D camera SKY301 and dual transmitter SKY201. Check this: http://www.fpvmodel.com/skyzone-sky02-aio-3d-fpv-goggles-_g857.html

Still not sure whether the video will work this time:

They look very good! What we need now is an unbiased direct comparison with the fatsharks, and some real video through the goggles and recorder, before parting with any money!

The video made me sick just watching it, suggest you stretch to a tripod!
Hope the Skyzones don't have similar corners cut!

Thanks for your suggestion. At the moment, I can't show you them in action because I've given a pair out for review. DHL shouldn't take them that long to arrive. I know they can do a better job than I can at showing them off, so stop by later and we'll provide the links.

A pair of Skyzone 3D goggles were sent to Paul and Thomas at BMSweb for their review.  They make better videos than we do. Hopefully they will make the first video this weekend.

Here's a picture what they have received:

Here is a video on the SkyZoneV02 made by Paul from BMSweb - Hopefully he will get some proper flights in with it on Sunday and get a better feel for it outdoors and see how the receiver sensitivity compares to previous version.

Looks like good goggles!

Personally not into 3d! The equipment is too bulky and is difficult to process the video, with virtually minimal equipment options to view it on, but I like that your prepared to experiment with new ideas, and of course it runs standard 2D equipment too!

The price seems reasonable too at first glance!
As a fatshark Dominator V1 user, To upgrade I would be looking for good video resolution but with a sensible increase in viewing angle! Doms are 30 deg so the 30 deg of skyzones wouldn't be a buying point for me.

Only criticism so far is that I don't like the av-in socket placed on the bottom of the goggles! Looks just too easy to accidentally pull the lead out when in use!

I want to say that this equipment is not a bulky one and the operation is not so difficult. The different to other goggles, Skyzone 3D goggles require an axtra 3D camera and a dual transmitterto realize the 3D effect.    :)

Here's another review video made by Mr. Bruce Simpson from RC Model Reviews. Hope it will help you know more about Skyzone 3D Goggles.
