Experience with buidling MINI MINI quads?
«

Hiya, I've been toying with the idea of designing a 3d print to make a very very small octocopter. I want to make one small enought to be used with these motors: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IONO4HK/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=35WT2U9CAYXIM&coliid=I2EKFP6M4Z4860
so yes, VERY small, but I was just wondering if anyone has experience with these small ones and what FC they used? thanks

They look like walkera ladybird motors, I just got an Fpv ladybird for indoor and garden fpv , put a cloverleaf antenna on the vtx and modded the RX to take a skew. Its on 5.8ghz but its surprisingly good now can fly it all round my house still get video hrough a couple of walls aswell. These 2 sites have some top micro stuff the alienwii fc looks really good. Someone on here has got a carbon micro h frame from them looks mint.

All the micro fc I have seen have 4 brushed ESC built in so you might struggle to do an octo at this size. I think there are a few micro quad designs on thing verse though.

Are those brushed motors? What size props would suit them?
A printed micro H quad seems a good idea, I would use the naze simply because its light and small, there is supposed to be a micro/mini naze version but have never seen it

Yes they're brushed motors, 8.5mm x 20mm for the Micro-H. The Hubsan X4 props work well on a 120mm H config.
The naze may be a little too heavy?

what do you think of the carbon h frame ? Is it much bigger than the hubsan you had ?

Aditkid looking good! Where did you get the foam to make that case? I really want to make a case or two but have been having trouble finding the foam+box.

The Carbon Micro-H is 120mm. With the Hubsan FC ir's crap as the X4 is 100mm, so the pitch is all wobbly. We now use them with Micro MWC running a custom firmware, very tweak able and fly like a beauty! Basically it now flies like my 250s after many nights of tuning.
The foam came in another Case from Maplin that we use for out 250's.
We have them for sale: Micro-H 120mm CF Frames, Black Edition Motors, Micro MWCs etc.
