KK2.1.5 board?

Hi, so I'm trying to flash my kkboard and need some help. Do I power it seperately through an output pin like when it is connected to the quad, or through one of the pins from the usb dongle thing? What software would you reccomend downloading onto it? I'm currently just running the preinstalled software from hobby king but have heard its necessary to switch. Can anyone help me with this?

Just use the 6 pin header! It supplies the voltage (Don't connect anything else)
Do NOT power it up separately!

You can flash it with anything but this is probably the easiest to use and understand
