Help needed with hk 5.8g set

I have purchased AHK 5.5 set TS5823 with RC 833 and I am having a problem setting the frequency and channels. As received it sends and receives on fr2 ch8. I have tied to change by flipping the trans dip switches but no matter where they are placed 2-8 is still received clear. I do not find the instructions to be of any help.

have you tried changing channels on vrx and on vtx, try changing channel on vrx then go through every channel on vtx and repeat with each channel on vrx, if nothing matches are you supplying with correct voltage?

I left the rx at 2f 8 ch, and flipped all types of combinations on the dip switches without losing the pic. It also is the same with the rec set at 1f 1c. since these are adjacent frequencies I believe this to be just a spill over.
I flipped several dip switch combinations and searched on the rx for a pic. the only pic I got was at 2-8 and 1-1
Both tx and rx powered by independent 3s batteries.
I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that the tx is at fault with shorted, non functioning, dip switches.

So 2 channels work? Why not just use one of those

I was hoping that someone would know the secret code of the vtx transmitter dip switches as it is somewhat different to the included diagram.

Those diagram of switches always confuse me. Never know if the white bit is the switch or the black
