so finally got me new esc and finished the build last night, just waiting on the sma connector for my ezuhf rx before i take it for a proper flight, but flied reallly nice in the garden. the weight is around 510 on 3s and 550 on 4s plus weight of sma and uhf 1/4 mono antenna when they go on so maybe another 15 grams or so

I did exactly the same thing to my 8ch ez rx. I even tore of bit of track off and had to make a new track with solder to that little white thing that the antenna core connects too.

ive used i small bit of antenna seems like it was working a was picking up current on my multimeter to to a chip the sits behind the solder pad on the underside, so i'm guessing i done it right, time will tell though, have to do a walk with quad in hand see when props cut out

i tore both ezuhf antennas mounts off and it also ripped off the track, made a right mess so now i dont have the rx exposed - that lawmate tx antenna would save you loadsa weight if you stripped it down, they are right heavy

It's a fox 400mw. The weight doesn't some to slow it down at all so I'm not bothered to much

Think he's on about the antenna. They are kinda heavy. It weighs double the huge rocket one I just took of mine.

A replacement antenna? I think he means strip down your current one. probably too much hassle  for a few grams. but that's what I understood.
