My Mini 250 with APM mini maiden flight

Well I finally managed to get her built
APM Mini on a Goodluckbuy QAV250 frame

I was very impressed with the speed, even in stabilised mode with only 60% throttle she was nearly out of orienation range before I had a chance to slam the brakes on

First two batteries I set my TX timer for 5 minutes
After having now topped up the batteries I found they only used 560mah in 5 mins, that gives me an easy 9 minutes flight time on the 1500mah even with the headlights on

Wow that's really light I think :0 mine weighs in around 580 maybe 590 grams with a 1600mah and I'm getting 7mins 45 seconds a safe 7 mins flat. 9 mins does sound nice. I'm sure my new DYS 1806 motors are heavier than the rcx/zmr ones as well which wont help. whatever You have done to get that weight down besides the micro vtx is working very well. Sounds pretty pokey too!

Yes, that includes everything, Mobius, FPV camera, 1500mah battery, 600mw vtx

I even used 4 bolts to hold each motor on, I really didn't pay too much attention to keeping it light, as I recal the frame itself with no electronics is about 146 grams, the arms are 5-6mm thick glass fibre, the frame is GF plates but it's also a clean and dirty system so there's 4 plates, one of the plates is a PCB one for power distribution

I did add 4 x cable ties since the last weigh in (in the rubber vibration mounts to act as stops)

That does look very light!  My bare bones FPV Spanky with mobious, 1300mAh batt  turned in a 535grams from memory.

I've tried the mini Hexa route which I don't think is the complete answer.

Now trying 3S/4S with 5X3 & 6X3 props.
