sorry your more than 5 minutes away the drone wont make it to you, you will have to wait for ambulance like everyone else, also don't know what video gear he was running but it was pretty sweet getting a signal inside a building however far away it it was and in hd too, none of this drone stuff will ever take off if you ask me, excuse the pun! but except for aerial photography where the person controlling it is always near by and it cant be done any other way except by super man and there is no ones life riding on the line. then its just never going to happen

Currently yes dave but if 4 g was widespread it would be more than possible mobile technology , the future will be bright , as long ass people don't fetch in legislation to stop it

even if video was possible at what ever range and at ground level indoors, its still never going to happen for instance it never mentioned the range it could travel, i know there are endurance quads that can fly for over an hour but this never looked like it to me, so i'm guessing that if they wanted the drone to return there range is probably 5k and thats being generous. in which case you may aswell just put an actual ambulance where the drone is based and wait an extra minute or two to have a trained paramedic to arrive, also it said please make your way to the nearest exit and the drone will be waiting for you, how the hell did the drone know which exit was nearest to them! think it would be much safer, quicker, cheaper and more reliable just to have one of those emergency defibrillators in every public building or space. these could be in secured cabinets that you ring a 999 to get a code to open and report the emergency at the same time

we wont use lipos for ever , will have new tech coming , hydrogen cells ? carbon batteries ? who knows

agree the flying jumpstarter is a bit far fetched and prolly in most cases an air ambulance is much better

A good idea but seems not realistic in technology now, in my opinion
