Regarding the motor, send him an email see what he says, or better still if you can show the issue in a video (not sure if its possible) in most cases I send out replacement motors without asking for the faulty one back. Any good supplier should!

looking on their website they say their esc's are flashed with that 2013 firmware you mentioned ben, looks like i might be have to cut all motors off to reflash and put new heatshrink on esc's

on 3s they go upto 80% throttle before they stop increasing speed, not doing it noe though, might be a job for the weekend, at least got the qav to keep me in the air

you defo got it in acro when testing also it might raign throttle back if motors dont lift if not, did you get spare motors dave or just 4 ?

just the 4 mate, not set a switch up for flight mode yet so must just been in manual, just thinking i hadn't charged lipo up just tried it straight out the box, but surely would still be enough in it to make one motor reach full throttle.

Stick the props on and try it dave , I had the same thing its like the naze won't let them spin up full if they not creating lift.

Not sure what it was but I remember when I first built my mini I spun motors up on RX only and all was good wired them to naze and they seemed to stop speeding up at half throttle but when I stuck props on all was  good I. Held it and throttled up and thrust increased all way to full throttle. Thought it was strange at time but quad was sweet so  just carried on. Probably not what's happening to yours but worth a go before you start unsoldering stuff.

Spot on gav just tried it and all was sweet. Like you say through baseflight with no props went to about 40% and stayed there with props on in my hand speed increased all they to full stick

Motors werewarm after a a few 5 second max bursts so think they'll be toastie after a 5 min flight. Think ill have to shed a fewgrams from it and keep full throttle climbs to a minimum
