MrBen did you use the solder pad to determine rotation direction on the ESCs and solder the motor wires in order on each ESC without swapping wires, to change direction?

yes I did, and I suggest you fit caps otherwise you will be buying new escs/motors often

Any suggested rating? I've got the 18A version.

After a little google I'm finding almost all of the cases of blown ESCs are with the 12a version. Hopefully 18a will hold out a little longer.. I've got a spare 4
