Cyclops Storm OSD and Ezuhf RX
« on: July 28, 2014, 08:26:11 PM »
Hey guys, just wondering if I have to use a RSSI DAX to make my Storm OSD get a RSSI out of my EZUHF Rx, looks like RSSI out of the EZUHF is digital and the Storm OSD RSSI is analog. Is this correct? is there another way of getting a working RSSI-failsafe RTH with this combo???

you can still use failsafe for storm, however if you want to display RSSI you need the convertor

the extra cost of getting the converter is pointless if your Storm RTH is working OK.

unless cost isn't an issue.

I fly Storm OSD and EzUHF, I use PPM too to clean up the wiring. I test my RTH with each LiPo so I'm confident that should I ever reach the EzUHF limit, it would turn back for me... no need to keep an eye on RSSI

Have pulled the trigger on a RSSI DAX, have got into the habit of looking at the RSSI with my Disco so it's only a few quid and it make me smile lol.
Wondered if I'm setting this storm up right because when I leave it on the ground in PA mode, after 10-15 seconds it puts in about a quarter throw of ailerons, every time and still works as a PA mode but with about quarter aileron to the left. It was one of the reasons I wanted to get the RSSI issue sorted just in case its pushing it into RTH. Just wondered if anyone else had come across this, does not happen in manual mode and have not flown it so I cant say what will happen in RTH. New to this OSD and the PDF is not a great read hehhehe.

She flies   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D yippppeeeeee
Did a LOS maiden first thing Sunday morning about 6am just before the wind picked up, so far she will do about 30mins if I take the Lipo down to 20% which will give me plenty of play time ~~
Will do a FPV maiden this week and post vid, well chuffed...
