60 minute miniquad
« on: July 06, 2014, 07:36:56 PM »
I arrived home from holiday this morning, only to find that my Minion mini quad frame has still not arrived :(

I've already sorted out the ESCs and motors, and wanted to get the NAZA tested asap so I can sell it... so I decided to knock something up using 3mm plywood and the top plate from a hobbyking fpv250 "cage" mod.

the front right motor is knackered, proper rattly and shaking, so the gains are mega low on the NAZA, only 70% on all axis'

not bad though, for just under an hour tinkering in the workshop (not including the time spent the other week soldering the motors/escs)

yeah, just a shame about the motor. hoping to get a new one from Ben, along with naze32 as I'm selling the NAZA now I'm happy that it works. I couldn't, in good consience, put it up for sale without knowing whether it was still working or not... has been in it's box in the garage for 8 months lol

yup, pretty small. I first used the recommended gain values for the DJI 330 quad... (140%) but it was wiggling all over the place, managed to stop the waggle at around 75% but was still there during hard moves... so dropped further to 70%

NAZA is off it now though, sold already :)

putting naze on it instead
