looking very nice there Martin, still new!
I managed to get my esc between plates by pulling cap on the RCX esc so it fell into the hole on bottom plate.
very patriotic

I could fit them between plates but I've had that much trouble with escs and motors on these minis I just soldered motor wires str8 to esc pcb I'll redo bottom plate when got it flying sweet , I've got deans cut down at side that connects main power to bottom plate so I can separate easy
When you both fly together are you both on 1.2 ? Does it work well ?
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iaA6ubbzRL4
this vid Ben this guy is using a naZe and same firmware as me on escs it's smooth but watch when he hit full throttle and climbs he gets the same flutter I was getting Los today , you think that's pids , I've lowered mine for tomorrow , it don't think it's motors and escs cos it don't do it on motor test on the bench
Kind of Dave ,The escs start beeping to help find it after 10 mins , good thing with blheli

yeah we both fly on 1.2 martin, it does work well after spending a few minutes finding out what channels we both had available and picking the ones furthest apart, unlike our first attempt which failed after about 10 seconds when ben pick up my superior video signal! don't remember what channel we were both on but we were 100mhz apart, something like 1180 and 1080 and it worked great upto around 250-300 meters, thats furthest we went not where it started to fail, ben even went to 250m out and i was right next to his vrx and he still had a perfect image.

you need to reduce your p gain using the sunnys Martin, had to be reduced lots with mine, they are powerful and react quicker to the fc,didnt like em to be honest, just too fussy with escs and fc settings, sold em last week
increase your tpa as well, that reduces p gain over 50% throttle, also increase Roll and pitch rate if its wobbling or juddering in banked turns, that reduces p gain when right stick is off centre

I'll get on it in morning , cheers brod I got sunny as was having trouble with rcx 1803 on the escs I had , spent last day messing with setting and escs they seem to work well on settings I have at moment on bench , just when I climb full throttle in Los tests, seems lots of the pancake type motors can be troublesome , they seem ok on the rcx escs also but the plushes are much lighter, be intresting what flight times I get tomorrow

I'd go with spanky the drq 250 in made of more thinner parts, I'm impressed with this little spanky it's very simple and only 4 parts , don't thing the thing has enuf weight to break an arm in a fall the 3mm bottom plate is very strong it would prolly take a 70mph impact to break an arm , the anti vibration bobbins are very good quality, the vulcanising is much better than the ones that come with Qav , think multirotorparts have um in stock and deliver next day.

yes they seem to be turning out just over the 550 grams, I agree with Martin, it is quite a strong chassis, the only immediate drawback is it seems to be designed specifically for the naze, the fc mounting holes could have been slotted diagonally so that any controller would fit such as multiWII or KK2, think this is a serious oversight!

The naze32 is prolly best all round flight controller available at moment, I'll have to measure the hole centers but I think the post holes for the 4 center frame posts are right pcd for larger controllers I'll check in a bit
