Monkeyblunt Teksumo
« on: May 26, 2014, 07:12:19 PM »
I made a start on this a few weeks back, but the powers that be decided to send me back to the desert for another month. as soon as I get back I'll be finishing this off but here's my progress so far:

Airframe: Monkeyblunt Teksumo
Motor: Turnigy 2826-6 2200kv
ESC: Turnigy Plush 40A
Prop: TGS 6x4e
Servos: Turnigy MG90S
RC: EzUHF 4ch lite

FPV Camera: PZ0420 600tvl (aka WDR600)
HD Camera: Mobius
VTX: IRC 600mw 5.8GHz
OSD: FY Hornet OSD

Managed to get the FPV cam, motor and ESC mounted before I flew back out here. reckon it will only take me one evening to fit everything else. I left it hanging on the wall in the garage:

And now, finally it's completed and ready for the maiden. usually I would say something like "hopefully this weekend" but that phrase has brought me nothing but bad luck, so I guess we'll just have to see when I get a chance to fly it.

AUW is 820g, and that is with a 2200mah 3S

it's very light compared to my last teksumo (which was over 1kg) so there's scope for laminating if I feel the need.

I had to mount the mobius platform a lot further forward than it's designed for, this is for 2 reasons...
1) to push the CG forward a bit more
2) the board camera I initially put in there was toast, so had to put in my old metal cased 600tvl camera. again, this puts more weight up front which is good but then the metal case blocks the mounting holes for the mobius platform.
