Interference, lines, when motors engaged..
« on: May 15, 2014, 04:07:02 PM »
I'm getting some interference as soon as my QAV250s motors start spinning and causes vertical lines and some distortion.

I'm using a Fatshark Dominator set on 5.8GHz with an Immersion 600mw vTX and polarised antennas.

I tried adding a capacitor to the vTX power in which is taken from 12v off the QAV power distro board but hasn't made any difference.

Any suggestions? I do have the Fatahark filter to use but not tried it yet..

Going to use the Fatshark filter on the QAV250 V2 that my cousin is flying and I'm going to attempt the filter with a ferrite ring on my own. Should have one somewhere..

So the filter has made no difference :(

My camera is a Sony 520TVL from a 900MHz HK video TX/RX set and runs on 12v which comes direct from the Lumenier power distro board.

Could it be the power to the camera? Not sure how I can combat it :(

It's just coming off one of the solder points on the Lumenier Distro Board.

Not familiar with the fat shark filter, have you (is it even possible) connected it the wrong way around?

I was using 5.8GHz on this. ImmersionRC 600mw tx.

MrBen it's just the vTX that's filtered.

I do have a 900MHz set, a 1500mw one that's just too heavy to use on the 250 but will keep it for another project.
