APM 2.6 Tricopter 1st Flight
So glad I decided to rebuild it, it's solid as a rock and smooth as silk to fly, fast too
Well chuffed, decided to rebuild my trusty old tricopter, it was my first ever FPV frame and originally had a Copter Control with DT750 motors
The old motors got too rattly so it got shelved until now
So glad I rebuilt it, it remonds of of why I used to prefer a tricopter to a quad, it's flight is so smooth and fluid, the turns are fluid too
Solid as a rock and fast on 4S
APM 2.6
Jakub Tricopter frame (No longer made) http://www.quadframe.com/
SimonK 30a ESC's from Ben at
https://fpv-forum.com
Turnigy 2836 950kv motors from Hobbyking
Gemfan 9 x 4.7 slow fly props from Hobbyking (recommendations/link for stiffer props anyone ? )
Zippy Compact 3700mah 4S Hobbyking
Rmilec 4047 lite receiver
Voltage regulator to give me 12v at 2a for LED lights and future FPV gear, though I might just use live feed out from a Mobius or GoPro and a 32ch 600mw 5.8 which can run on 4S anyway

Flying well (Tricopter was once my favorite too!)
Looks like the APM gurus finally removed the gremlins from the tricopter code!
How would you rate the Turnigy 2836 950kv motors?

No grumbles with the motors yet bM but it's early days, I've had them on one of my quads for a while with no issues, but in fairness all I have to compare them to is DT750's
I'd guess they don't compare to the Sunnysky 2212's but I've not used those either

Tricopters are still my favorite, because they do Fly not like quads which don't fly but just hang around flattening batteries.
If you want a good laugh give a tri to most anyone with a quad and see if they can get it off the ground
£13.50 for a motor and esc
£4 mg90 servo
£15 kk blackboard
£1.50 5x8x4 props
Its got to be the best bang fo you buck in the rc world, and probably the most fun you can have with you clothes on
