Got time to try out the new Skyzone goggles this morning, I have loved my Boscam AIO goggles but these Skyzones I fell in love with instantly
The adjustable IPD is a boon, makes a huge difference, the image size is fantastic, looks like a giant widescreen TV
setting up was very easy my kit happens to be Boscam anyway so no need to change band and I was on ch2 so just one click of the channel button and we're off
All the leeds required (I used the Futab lead to power direct from my tx)
That built in front camera was much better than I had expected it to be
The fit of the eyecups was superb for me, not the tiniest slither of light getting in and comfy too
Oddly even with the standard rubber ducky antenna I could walk two rooms away (solid 1m thick stone walls here) and still had solid video ?, of course I'll be fitting my patch array and a skew though to make best use of the built in diversity
Case is nice and should keep them tidier than my old gogs, adjustment is easy too
So far only one negative......
They smell
Yes they are very smelly, not a smell I've ever experienced before so can't really describe it, I'm sure that will wear off eventually
Anyway, I bought them for resale and was going to put them on eblag this morning but thought I'd best try them out first to make sure they're up to standards
So now I'm keeping them, I'll have to order some more in
Prolly keep my AIO's for passengers

I bought some LEDs from Hobbyking a few times, I remember they smelled really strange too... almost like food but not any food I'd want to eat.
