Increase 2.4 rc range

So its well known that doubling the length of your 35mhz rc antenna wire increases the range... Can this same technique be used in 2.4ghz rx too?

I would also like to explore that option as I feel safer on 2.4.
Cheers MIKE.

The reason why doubling your 35mhz antenna works is because by default it's already too small and you are making the antenna 1/4 wave or 1/2 wave.
I'm quite certain that 2.4ghz antennas are already the correct size. Doubling it would probably be counter productive.

I've been considering something like this as a cheap solution to get me by before forking out for an EzUHf or similar...
