OSD solution needed
« on: January 13, 2014, 09:22:43 PM »
I have a new Naza M lite

Some chine ebay sellers are selling the naza iOSD as compatible, but DJI says it's not

Anyone got an opinion and/or an OSD solution for my Naza M lite?

Thanks

I don't think it's compatible, if it's just voltage you want to keep an eye on get a cheap hobbyking OSD but if you want the whole hog something like tiny OSD from skylark will do the trick for you.

OK thanks Chris

so, if I sell the Naza M Lite and keep the GPS and LED

then buy the next one up?  best solution?

Doesn't work that way, the naza lite GPS and led don't work on the naza m v2. Naza I OSD doesn't even look that good so I'd get a separate OSD.

Some videos of it on YouTube, I'd much rather tiny OSD though.

Oh, ok,

*looks at tinyosd*

Hang on that's another $100 and it uses a separate GPS

There must be a better way?

What uses naza GPS and if there is a good solution, (under£50)
Which Naza does it fit?
Thanks folks

Only naza works with naza. If it's only voltage you want to check on you can buy a cheap OSD from hobbyking. But if you really want I OSD your going to have to buy the naza v2 with GPS, the I OSD and you may even have to buy the DJI canbus hub.

the LED is part of the power unit. you wire it into the lipo connector and it drops the voltage down to naza fc working voltage, all the while monitoring LiPo voltage and acting as visible indicator of flight mode. This would need to be sold with the naza fc as part of the package.

The GPS is a separate unit.

depending on what you want the OSD for would depend on what solutions people can offer.

if you want a fully functional display of what the FC is doing, what mode it's in etc... then you have no option but to sell it all and buy the v2 with the DJI OSD add on.

if you just want to know where you are and the status of your LiPo, you'd be better off with a standalone OSD with it's own GPS (yes, that would mean you have 2 x GPS on the craft)
search for cyclops breeze osd pro, that would be my recommendation.
