Where to buy 1.3g video gear
« on: December 18, 2013, 02:04:10 PM »
Guys

I fancy trying 1.3g next year with my frsky 2.4 g radio gear. Where do I go for the good stuff that's also good value ? Do I need any other components to block out any 2,4g harmonics - in line filter ??

Cheers

I just ordered 1.2 lawmate from hobbyking, also ordered a low pass filter, don't think it completely solve the harmonics issue but its ment to help

ive been flying 1.2 for ages its awsome but i use uhf, i tried  1.2 and my frysky 2.4 radio and the thing fell out of the sky at about 200ft away so do use a filter, although my filter killed the video !

Ah that sucks. Is it the same for 1.1? Think the vtx I got might go that low

Don't be a tight arse and get UHF, you don't want to be getting fs on your fragile qav.

I know that driving on the motoway at 90 mph is breaking the law but we do it anyway under certain circumstances. I've hit 120 mph somewhere in Europe at midnight and I got away with it. Can this be notion be applied to 1.2/3 GHz system?

Frsky 2.4 has failsafe on it. So it will failsafe to the stick position u set. I normally set about 40% throttle and neutral elevator aileron with my switch set to auto level in the hope of a soft landing. I know it's unlikely. But better than it just dropping out the sky.

Apart from when your 3 meters from heading over a lake like you was Ben.  Then frsky failsafe probably would of carried us over the lake and sank it
