Been doing some Arduflyer tuning
« on: September 10, 2013, 04:50:28 PM »
It's getting really good now
Tested loiter and RTL this afternnon up on the mountain, winds were 8-23mph very very gusty
Got it working quite well now I think

Arduflyer 2.5 in strong wind 8-23mph (anemometer) RTL and Loiter Small | Large

I'm really tempted to go down the apm2.5 (or clone thereof) route again, specially now I'm in the market for a new flight controller. what amount of tweaking have you had to do to it to get it this far?

Don't mate
It's a LOT of messing about, re-wiring, and tweaking (no not twerking ya perv)
The APM units are riddled with "which GPS to get ?", "which compass to buy ?" oh and a LOT of anal retards who respond with "RTFM" (read the fucking manual) if you ask a question over there
Right now I have the number one thread over there due to my retaliation against such wank stains
There however some really good folk there too but they're overwhelmed by the idiots

:)

If I was going to try out a new flight controller/OSD I'd probably get an Arkbird
Like a Cyclops it's straight forward to set up, it's tiny AND it controls the throttle on RTH
