Ah of course, if i move the radioto UHF, it frees up the 2.8 for FPV,

Might it interfere with mates on 2.8 radios though?

you mean 2.4
most likely your mates 2.4 radios would interfere with your image, not the other way around.
you see, most (if not all) 2.4 radio systems are frequency hopping so will actively avoid "busy" frequencies within the range.
people don't use 2.4 radios with 2.4 video equipment because the close proximity of the 2.4 receiver in the plane to the 2.4 video transmitter causes lines and snow and other interference in the received image.
it can be done, but video range is massively reduced and image quality is poor
