TxRx problem

I think I have a problem anyway! I am an owner of a Futaba T6X (Field Force 6) TX on 35Mhz FM and a 6ch futaba rx which works perfectly fine with it. I did however, buy a second hand 8ch rx called a Futaba FP-R138DF and a second set of crytsals.

The rx does not seem to work properly. When the tx is turned on, the rx moves a servo a "step" then stops. On sensor test on a kk2.0 board, there is a quick value when the tx is turned on then it has "No signal" written in place again.

I tried the crystals from my working 6ch tx and still no luck. Is the rx duff or am I doing something silly?

The Futaba FP-R138DF is PPM, needs a ppm xtal(white), and in the tx mode setting set to ppm.

You didn't say what your other Rx is? if its a Futaba FP-R138DP then it would be pcm, needs a pcm xtal(orange), and in the tx mode setting set to pcm.
