Glad to hear it, can't wait to get mine back! Have been using the old OpenLRS on the quad, but as from two days ago, that has the dubious title of "Dead in the water"

Glad you got it back corp!
Watch those rx antennas, not just RL but any rx dipoles, they are very delicate if treated rough...

I'm going to micro mode range test it with my home made monopole sander style antenna first. It didn't fair too well last time, but then I found out that the problem wasn't the antenna it was the TX unit. so will give it another chance.
I'm not going to be attempting any long range stuff that would require a dipole or turnstile antenna, so a mono should be fine for now, plus it makes it easier to mount the RX into the aircraft.

Mine just arrived back today Corp
Original case (I had modified mine)! New innards, free antenna.
Hopefully get back to normality now!
Will test it later today...

I had a complete new set, so mine must have been beyond repair I guess...
Again, for me I had new antennas also

I just sent him a thank you email.
Refreshing change to see such good after sales support, better in many cases than UK dealers...

Well, just did a micro mode range test with mine... several in fact.
managed to get 41 paces. I actually got further before the failsafe kicked in, but I count the paces walking back to the transmitter, starting from when it comes out of failsafe. It was closer to 45 paces out

Well mine is working properly now!
Will do a good micro range check once it stops raining.
And a real low power range check when I can arrange it with someone.
I always did get far less paces on micro mode than you, but as you know, it's not related to how powerful the tx is, it is just that particular system self check distance.
At least I can get on with installing uhf on the H-Quads now!

mines working brilliant too...
my new baseline was 41 paces, as mentioned above.
installed into my skywalker and only managed a 20 something range test.
relocated the antenna out onto the wing (as far as the extension will let me) and I just got 31 paces in micro mode
definitely safe enough to fly I reckon.... on my way out now
