its called 'spin' ;) or as my dad used to say drivel

lol

I'm only jealous that you guys are rich enough to afford these ;)

I have concentration issues at the moment with regards to my FPV.... once again I took on too many projects instead of focusing on getting one up and running.

These goggs are gonna be epic, no doubt... with built in DVR and a 1.3Ghz module.... who the hell need's a groundstation anymore!!!

I was tempted by the skyzones, but the built in 5.8 diversity RX is useless for me as I don't fly on 5.8... that's a big part of the cost of those goggles so would be a waste of money.

If they did a "base" version like fatshark do, they'd be interesting

Interestingly enough HD video is considered to be anything with more than 480 horizontal lines (in the US) or more than 576 horizontal lines (in Europe) so “technically” the new goggles are even displaying video that could be classed as “HD”.
That's one way of talking yourself out of $500+

My old dominators probably aren't the most comfortable but they do lend themselves to modifying, wouldn't want anything better (unless it was substantially better)

the new fs 5.8 vrx is only -90DBm. a backward step!

Couple that with $500+ for the visor, $? for the Vrx, then you need another $??? for the Dji Vtx
This will turn into something seriously expensive, suggest would-be buyers approach this with their eyes open!!!

I bloody agree with you there mate... it just sometimes feels like I'm taking a hell of a lot of crap with me to the flying location... it's so much easier to find places to fly from when you know you just have to take your goggles, transmitter and the aircraft..... often you can just sit on a wall or at the edge of a field etc, instead of pitching a bloody camp site lol

HD goggles aren't going to simplify the gear you take flying any more than the current gear! The HD Vrx is as deaf as the old mk1 5.8g fatshark Vrx.

Only thing I can see that would give long range and compact gear is by using a decent external Vrx, could be strap on job or hidden in a rucksack!

simplify... perhaps not, but have everything in one compact unit? yes.

and it all depends on what Rx module is used... 1.3 and you're pretty much golden for several kms on stock whips.

Boscam AIO goggles love em'

Simple basic all in one GS with 5 inch screen, 5.8/2.4 receiver and dvr built in can clamp to the handle of a tx and even give video out feed for less expensive goggles (without VRX built in), dvr recording isn't great but good enough to help find a lost plane if the worst happens, screen is pretty good though, I've set a few of these up for Phantom owners for live feed from their GoPro's

800x600 is not hd in my book

In 1992 I had 33mhz 386 had 800x600 display that was over 20 years ago

Then 800x600 was hd not now , and in any case video receivers and transmitters are 640x480

What's the point
