Flying wing crash - 8lb - 18000mah!!

Have you heard of the Hercules Gentle Giant?

Just came across this plane (which I love the more I read by the way) and this video where it crashes with an all up weight of about 8lb.  Couple of new props and it flies again!

Nice bounce (about 1 minute in).

Yeah seen that before, I was following the thread on RCG for a while, Chris & Martin both had one, chris's didnt fly too well at all and I hear overall they are inefficient too. I wouldnt get one. PK Surfing has one, he started a build thread on the 'other' forum

To me it flies weird. It's got this nose up attitude like some 300g foamy.

they are the worst plane ive ever wasted my time and money on , do not do what they are sposed to, fly for about 12 mins on 10000mah , i have one here built if you want one , they crash well thats only positive, think i can say , they need lots of reflex to even fly well and because of this they use lots of throttle to stay up in air, not an fpv plane the maker ses they are but he knows nothing about fpv, and he does not stand by what he said, people say he builds good combat wings, thats not what i wanted from it,

Just read through the entire thread on RCG to get a feel for it.  The 78" doesn't seem to have worked at all for you Martin.  Nightmare!

I think I'll stick with a safer bet if I actually get around to getting me a wing.

safest bet , the wing is just not effient zepher or zepher 2 are much better wings both fly gr8 , also a maxi swift work well and are a fraction of the price of the hgg,

what did i learn from the hgg ?

if ya gunna get a wing dont buy one based on a single video from the creator , buy one that is proven by many flyers , anybody can edit a vid and make it look good
