Throttle curves are usually done on the TX, some TX will only let you use a curve when in heli mode, sometimes you can set a throttle curve with the flight controller like on the copter control cc3d for example.

Vass remember so swap the motor wires for 3-4 back around, I understand they dont need to be reversed for upward facing rear motors.

Yes clocked the motors 3&4 needed reversing and on the KK2 too

Ive had a good run albeit short with same motors in the 'A' tail format

Ive got the motors ready to swap over, just need to get on and do it.

Got the USB for the firmware too, just need to crack on.

Mr. Ben,

Sweet design. I've been drooling over it for the past few hours. I've been working on a design for carrying a Tarot 2D mounted topside/upside down for fpv.

The original though was to go with a slightly modified H-Quad, but the V-Tail is awesome looking and looks like fun to make.

Before I go and make everything in sketchup do you have anything already drawn up? Also, I've been looking around for design dimensions or ratios for V-tails in general, but i'm coming up short. This is what I have so far:

Start with a tricopter-design - 120 degrees apart from FC.
Convert the tail into a V - 90 - 120 degrees apart (change dist to fc depending on angle). depends on yaw/thrust mix, different prop size from front.

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Wasnt as smooth to fly as my qav400 quad but I always felt it made better video perhaps because it was generally more stable
