Countryfile FPV thing
« on: January 23, 2012, 09:46:01 AM »
Anyone see the Gaui 330 and flying wing on Country File?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01bf4qy/Countryfile_22_01_2012/

about 16 mins in, tracking badger runs.  Funny thing is the pilot is clearly seen flying on the goggles without a spotter (unless they are off camera the entire piece!)  Not even particularly good footage...I've had better results with my cheapo setup.  Cutting edge tech my arse!

You would think with it being cutting edge that he would have been using somethign better than rubber ducky antennas ;)

looked like a VC450 frame to me (slightly bigger and stronger) but based on the GU frame, I have 4 VC450 frames I recognize em!

and on the topic, the postman brought me a new prototype fpv frame from the same guy this morning! :)

Nice to see our hobby actually being of use for something, unlike some other completely pointless hobbies
